Introduction to Plant Biology app for iPhone and iPad

This app introduces advanced middle school and high school students to the inner workings of plants. Plant biology is an exciting field with many disciplines.  This app lets students glimpse the building blocks of the field from the molecule to the organism and teaches necessary vocabulary through Latin and Greek roots.

Introduction to Plant Biology helps students learn through multi-touch exploration on their iPads.   It is easy for them to email you or a parent directly from the app with an image of their work.  Your students explore the basics of Heredity, Genetics, and Plant Structure in playful, interactive sessions.  They are challenged to practice and learn vocabulary while they see their new words appear in current articles about cell biology, inheritance, plant phyla, and plant and flower anatomy and structure. Once students complete one of the word packs, they reflect on “What concepts did I learn relating to genetics, heredity or plant biology?” and they solve a Common Core influenced “challenge” such as “Which structure is the most complex? Why?”
